One of this season's biggest trends is definitely the polka dot pattern and we can see it in every store and on every item of clothing. Needless to say that it is also one of my favourite trends at the moment and I love the vintage vibe given by this type of print. Therefore, I made a selection of some lovely pieces which I would love to have in my wardrobe this spring / summer and which would fit my style perfectly.

Waiting for spring

Hello my dear ones,

It's Monday and I am trying to get back on track with the posting and more exactly, with the creation of new outfits. As a matter of fact, if until now I wasn't very into it because of all the grey, cold weather, now I'm really looking forward for spring to come and I can't wait to start wearing lighter clothes and give up all the coats, furs, thick sweaters and boots. I am already dreaming of pastels, flowy shirts, thin sweaters, leather and denim jackets, skirts, dress, flats, sneakers and colourful heels, yay.

There is a shy beginning of everything I said above in today's look, meaning that I chose to wear this lovely, colourful and not so thick SWEATER for let's say..the beginning of spring. I love the combination of red, blue, navy and white and besides being perfect for this time of the year, it is also very on trend, because as you might have seen red, blue and white are still very IN this season. As you can see, this is a cropped sweater and from what I noticed, I tend to like them quite a lot lately but I always choose to wear this type of sweaters with a shirt underneath or with very high waisted pants / jeans and skirts. I think it looks classier like that and I hope we all got over that belly showing 90s trend :).
Anyway, as you can see, the white shirt is present here as well and I paired the two with my absolute favourite pair of blue jeans which you've already seen before, black sock boots and a black oversized coat. I also added a red bag which matches perfectly the red on the sweater and gives a bit more colour to the entire ensemble.

Behind the scenes: The sun from the photos might have fooled you, but in fact it was unbelievably cold on the day and even though the whole shooting lasted maximum 10 minutes, we were absolutely frozen at the end. Winter is no fun for taking photos, I'm telling you. :)

Very long time, no see! Yes, I've been absent around here more than usual, I know.. but there have been some busy times for me, plus that I kind of needed a break due to all the changes which have occurred in my life. Long story short, we moved back to Germany, in a new home which keeps us pretty occupied with all the decorating and arranging of old and new stuff, we've also been a few days in Romania, time in which I got a pretty bad cold, than back to Germany and so on. Moreover, we don't have a wifi connection yet, so this was another reason why I haven't been around. However, I am pretty active on my favourite platform (which is Instagram) and you should definitely follow me there in order to see my daily posts :D - @andyandra.

On another matter, Valentine's day is pretty close and I wanted to create some inspirational collages with appropriate items for that day, but then I stumbled on the beauties you can see in this post and I couldn't resist. They instantly made me think of spring and honestly, who can resist such adorable pink and white pieces? Needless to say that pink is (STILL) my favourite and happy colour and that the items which you can see above are so beautiful and romantic that they would be suitable for Valentine's Day as well. 

White pieces are more delicate, but equally beautiful and I tend to wear white mostly during summer, but I think that items like these ones are perfect for spring as well. White shirts and blouses are like basics, we should all have at least one in our wardrobe.

New Year's Eve Party

On this last day of 2017 I thought of making a wishlist which might give you some inspiration for the night between years. My dear ones, we already find ourselves in November so the winter is approaching and I love wearing coats and interesting, unique sweaters during the cold time, therefore I decided to make a selection of these two essential clothing pieces of the season. Checked coats are very on trend at the moment and it was difficult to choose only one to include in this post as they have so many different ones, but this one caught my attention due to its red details. Faux furs are still trendy this season and I particularly loved these colourful ones which would brighten up any cloudy grey day of winter and , of course, the pink coat is my absolute favourite and I would love love love to add it to my wardrobe. 

On another matter, when I was younger I used to hate wearing sweaters because I thought they were making me look massive, but now I adore them and besides the coats and over the knee boots, they are the 3rd reason why I like the cold season. Not in that particular order :)). As I said before, this year I very much love the ones with a little extra something, like pearls, tassels, sequins, etc which make them more special, but they are not the only ones that I'm wearing. I also like the oversized, comfy and warm sweaters which can make an outfit look effortlessly chic.

Hello hello!

Our vacation is over (for now 😀) and even though I prepared a few outfits featuring some adorable summer dresses while I was there, I can't deny the fact that we are passed mid-September and I can't wait to create some proper fall outfits. The thing is that we still have around 30 Degrees Celsius around here, so wearing coats / sweaters and whatnot is pretty difficult. But I can always get inspired until then and I actually found some amazing pieces which I want to share with you today. 

There are many trends that I like this season, but the pearl embellishment is probably my favourite one. I love everything about embedded pieces and I think that pearls make each item look cuter, more sophisticated and more feminine. So yes, this autumn is all about clothing items which have pearls on them and we can already see them in every store. I made a selection of my favourite ones and, as you can see, they are present on everything, from blouses to jeans, shoes, sweaters, dresses, and even accessories. Summer is slowly coming to an end, the kids are about to go back to school soon, the grownups are going back to work after the much awaited holiday and we are all about to see the first signs of autumn soon. But this is not necessary a reason to feel sad because each season has its beauty and autumn should definitely not be underestimated. Golden leaves, pumpkin pies, warm hues, tea & hot chocolate and a good reason to add some new pieces to your wardrobe. :)
This time I found some pretty cool denim jackets, T-shirts and shirts to show you, but also some very cute flats and bags and I went for more black and white pieces, with a little bit of red and burgundy. But if you prefer other colors such a pink, mustard yellow or orange, you should know they are still very trendy. Floral prints, gingham, embroidery and ruffles are still among designers' favourites this season and investing in such a piece is always a good idea.
