This season I choose red!

Denim Jacket / Geaca de blugi - HERE / AICI || T-shirt / Tricou - Zara || Jeans / Blugi - Zara || Bikerboots / Bocanci - Zara || Hat / Palarie - Primark || Backpack / Ghiozdan - Stradivarius

Happy Fri-YAY darlings!

As you can see, red has been quite a motif in my last outfits and the one from today is no exception. I must admit this bright color really got to me this season and I love how it makes any look pop, so most likely that I won't stop here :)).
And while I was looking for the perfect red coat for winter, I found this lovely denim jacket which went straight to my shopping cart. I love its retro vibe, the fact that it is oversized, the wonderful shade of red and even the ribbon detail on the right pocket. Not to mention the fact that it arrived (together with the sweater from my previous post) right before we went on our short vacation and it matched the scenery perfectly. Oh and I forgot to tell you that the quality of this jacket is very good and you can find it HERE also on pink or khaki.

Of course I had to style it in a casual outfit since we were surrounded by nature, but I think the jacket really made my outfit stand out and without the pop of red my look would have been just a plain black & white jeans-tee look. My point is, try investing in items which will make more special even the simplest outfit you're wearing. :)

On another matter, among the outfit photos I also inserted some pics from the four-hour cruise we took on the Li River from Guilin to Yangshuo because I also wanted to share with you the beautiful scenery we saw at that time. FYI, some of the pics are white-ish due to the bad air quality there was that morning, whereas my outfit was most likely noticed & remembered by everyone on that boat due to this adorable JACKET. :))

Have a lovely weekend!
Love, A.

If it's Friday, let there be glitter..

 Denim Jacket / Geaca de blugi - HERE / AICI || Skirt / Fusta - H&M || Boots / Cizmulite - Primark || Purse / Portofel - Love Moschino || Belt / Curea - Pull & Bear

..or more like sequins, but you get the point. :) Well you see, I recently got this long oversized denim jacket and I wanted to do something special with it, therefore I decided to add a silver sequinned skirt, which would definitely take this outfit out of the ordinary, together with some black & silver accessories.
I totally love the result and how the jacket and the skirt contrast each other but at the same time they complement each other: the denim jacket dresses the skirt down and the skirt dresses the jacket up, if you know what I mean. :) I think the entire ensemble could be worn on several occasions but since it is Friday, why not wearing it tonight when going out with friends, for example?! :)

I don't know if I convinced you with this look, as it is something different for me, but I love trying new styles all the time and I am trying to step out of my comfort zone once in a while. Moreover, this type of denim jacket has been on trend since spring and I couldn't wait to get my hands on one because I find it to be very cool and you can wear it in many different ways: with pants, jeans, skirts, over a t-shirt or a sweater or even a dress, the options are unlimited. I think that such a jacket is almost like a basic, is one of those pieces which any wardrobe should have. I found mine HERE at an amazing price and, for your reference I am wearing size S.

I am very curious to hear your opinion about this look and for you to tell me how would you wear it.

Have a magical weekend,
A.

Back to school 1

Hey hey!

Summer is slowly coming to an end, the kids are about to go back to school soon, the grownups are going back to work after the much awaited holiday and we are all about to see the first signs of autumn soon. But this is not necessary a reason to feel sad because each season has its beauty and autumn should definitely not be underestimated. Golden leaves, pumpkin pies, warm hues, tea & hot chocolate and a good reason to add some new pieces to your wardrobe. :)
This time I found some pretty cool denim jackets, T-shirts and shirts to show you, but also some very cute flats and bags and I went for more black and white pieces, with a little bit of red and burgundy. But if you prefer other colors such a pink, mustard yellow or orange, you should know they are still very trendy. Floral prints, gingham, embroidery and ruffles are still among designers' favourites this season and investing in such a piece is always a good idea.

I selected my favourite items for this new season and I think they are all very suitable either for going back to school or to work and, as usual, I left direct links to each and one of them below the images. Let me know which is your favourite. :)

Have a lovely day,
A.

The military jacket & a pop of color

Jacket / Jacheta - H&M || Shirt / Camasa - Zara || Jeans / Blugi - Stradivarius || Bag / Geanta - Local Store || Boots / Cizmulite - Zara

The second day we spent in Xi'an was mostly about the Terracotta Army Museum, which is in fact one of the most famous tourist attractions in the area and which was also our no. 1 point of interest :)
The museum is located about 40 km away from Xi'an and there is a bus taking you there from Xi'an Railway Station. However, you have to be careful to take the right bus because there are many "fake" buses which will take you to a Silk Factory to do some shopping on the way to the museum. We did lots of research before stepping into one of the buses and luckily, we got the right one soooo no silky garments for us :)). FYI, take the white buses not the green or blue ones ;).

Getting at the museum takes about one hour and the place is huge: there are 3 pits where you can see the Terracotta Warriors together with Horses and Carriages which have been there discovered since 1976. They took out about 20.000 such pieces since then and I think it's not even 10% of how much there still is. The Mausoleum of the Qin Emperor is located about 2 km away from the museum and probably on a 2 km radius from his grave everything is surrounded by its army and who knows what else. You do the math. :) Nevertheless, they stopped the excavations because they don't have the necessary equipment to properly preserve everything they find under the earth.

Anyway, I decided to add some photos taken at this museum at the end of this post since this place is so important in China's history and the feeling it gives you when you see what the Emperor has done for his afterlife is amazing. Luckily, on our way out we found some beautiful blooming trees which have enlightened the grey sky a little bit and have enabled us to take some photos of my outfit as well. The photos are not many and not of the best quality but those trees were too pretty not to take advantage of them haha. These gave me such a spring feeling <3. The military jacket is another trendy piece for this season and I'm glad I got my hands on this one while it was on sale. I think it looks classy and chic and I love the golden details on the sleeves. I kept the rest of the outfit quite simple but I added a little bit of colour by wearing a red Chloe-alike bag.

Do you like military jackets?

Hugs, A.

The Museum..

P.S.: During the evening we took a walk around the City Wall (well a part of it) and went to see the Bell Tower and Drum Tower again because we heard they are all lit up so beautifully at night. Well, I let you be the judge after taking a look at the pictures below :).
