I scream ice cream

I promised you a new post today and I managed to keep my promise, so here it is. I've been pretty busy the past days which is why I didn't have time to post something new, don't worry I didn't forget about you or the blog.
On another matter, besides the fact that autumn is here since (exactly) the 1st of September, this week got so cold it feels like a real December. I already started wearing my coats, sweaters and boots and besides the yellow leaves nothing tells me it's not winter yet.

However, I took these photos on Sunday when it was still ok to wear a dress and a leather jacket. The dress I'm wearing today is also from CHOIES and what I love most about it is the color blocking. You will probably think "Ice cream print for autumn?" and I would say "Why not?!". I find it super cute and happy and the bold colors will definitely be something else among all the blacks, greys and browns we see everyday. Plus that it's a good way of remembering the pretty summer we had, summer which seems sooooooo far away. One more thing, the dress is made of a chiffon fabric, which you might say is a bit light for this weather, but this problem can also be solved with a little bit of layering. Not to mention that not everywhere on Earth is cold right now, maybe some of you reading this are living in a sunny and warm place! :D
This time I chose to pair it with black elements and I added the turban to give it some extra chicness ;) I hope you like it and now it's your turn to tell me how would you wear it.

You can find the dress HERE, on SALE!

Kisses,
Andra

fairy in the sand

Kiss me hard before you go
Summertime sadness
I just wanted you to know
That, baby, you're the best.

Yes, yes you are. Thing is that I usually listen to the radio during the day. Almost every day. I just need music in the background while doing my thing, plus that I like to be up to date with the new songs which come out. But sometimes I get sick of hearing the same music on and on, and this is exactly what happend yesterday,  so I started browsing through my old music and so I found Lana. The Lana. Two years ago I was listening to her songs like crazy and now I totally forgot about them. Which is why, while writing this post I'm listening to "Summertime Sadness" pretty much on repeat. :)
What better time of the year to listen to this song if not now, at the end of August? Even if this summer was loong and so very warm, I'm still getting a bit melancholic and I already miss the seaside, the sand, the fun, the long days.

On another matter, today's look is an all white one, the star of it being THIS sheer lace shirt which I liked so much the moment I saw it. I love its asymmetric cut and I that is exactly what makes it so interesting. It is completely see-through, so I had to wear a white top underneath and for the bottom part I chose a pair of white shorts. Simple and casual for the holiday, while the gladiator sandals were my closest friend this summer. I tried out two looks: with and without the turban, but I cannot decide which one I like better. What do you think?

Have a great weekend,
Love, A.

lean on

While browsing the photos after the shooting, I automatically associated this series with the song from Major Lazer we all heard so much this summer, "Lean On". I don't know exactly why, but I guess it's because of that oriental chorus it has.

Anyway, I must confess that I imagined this shooting at least one month before getting to Gran Canaria. Usually, after knowing our next holiday destination, I search for photos and videos, read about it and check my tripadvisor app to see what can be done and seen there. This is how I discovered "Las Dunas de Maspalomas", which are sand dunes just like the ones in the desert, but of course spread over a smaller area. It was the first time when I saw something like that and I was completely mesmerized of how gorgeous it looks, especially when you see the ocean in the background. We were super lucky to have them close to our hotel, so I was able to go twice with my friend there in order to shoot some photos at sunset. The light was warm and magical and the sand was cold, just perfect. FIY, during the day is impossible to do something like that because the sand is hot as hell, :)).

Moreover, when I saw this flowy, long dress in a gorgeous raspberry shade at Mango, I could only imagine wearing it while having the dunes as a background.. Then, I thought of adding a turban and huge statement necklace in order to give that oriental vibe to this look and I didn't forget about the most beloved summer accessory - the flashtattoo. I planed it all, I'm telling you.

I'm super thrilled how these photos turned out and they are my favorite in a looooooong time. My hubby even suggested we should choose some and frame them. :) Even if I usually like to post everything chronologically, this time I didn't obey my own rules because I wanted to show you this set already. I hope you'll like them as much as I do.

I'm waiting for your opinion :)
Love, A.

leopard

Here I am, finally back with a new post. This time is not my fault for being absent around, but we are currently changing our internet provider and this takes quite a while (who would have known?!), so I don't have any internet connection at the moment, "yay". It's horrible, I must tell you. In 2015 it is kind of hard to imagine yourself without internet connection. Everything is related to the internet nowadays and you can't even use your gadgets. Here's a brainstorming exercise: what can you do with an IPad or Iphone without internet connection (and I refer here to a super fast WiFi, not that 3G thingie which is slower than a snail)? I tell you, barely nothing.

Moving on, on Wednesday I met my dear friend and we snapped some photos, more exactly three different outfits which I can't wait to show you! It was super cold outside, so the whole process was not an easy one but it sure was so much fun!
"Less is more" - this saying is always my guide, so this is what I took into consideration when I created this outfit. I wanted to wear this leopard sweater, which I'm pretty sure it doesn't need much accessorizing, and I paired with a tulle dress, worn as a skirt here, my beloved chained booties and a fringed bag. The turban was also meant to be part of the outfit but I forgot to wear until the end, so you can imagine after taking 84185185 photos without it, I remembered I had it in my purse. So typical. :))

Hope you like it! Have a great Sunday (what's left of it) and a great new week!
Hugs, A.

shades of red

Hello hello,

Just a quick post for today wearing my favorite pair of jeans at the moment. You know I told you HERE how much I love ripped jeans and they are definitely the 2014 type of jeans. Well, I also told you that I could only find the ones in white, but now I found these in black and I like them even more than the white ones because of they are veeeeeeery ripped and they have a high waist. Just perfect for autumn and not only!

This time I chose more of a dressy outfit in black and white and I added some red accessories & heels, but I can't wait to wear these jeans with biker boots and a leather jacket. Well, I can't do that just yet since we still have 20 degrees and sunny weather..apparently we are lucky enough to enjoy a golden October after all.
