One step closer to #spring 🌸

I don't know about you, but I start thinking of #spring after the Christmas and NYE have passed. Even thought the real winter usually starts just after the holidays, I already dream of blooming trees, warmer temperatures, sunny days, pastels and floral prints and patterns. And if we can't have a proper spring just yet, we can always get closer to it with some embroidered pieces, which by the way are still very IN this upcoming season and as I taking a look at the new collections I saw that this continues to be the main trend.

I already started to add some pieces to my wardrobe in this style and among the first ones was this lovely SHIRT with blue stripes and embroidered flowers. I found it HERE at a very good price and I am very happy with my choice for so many reasons. Firstly, the fabric is light and perfect even for summer, the pattern is very pretty and it can be combined in so many ways due to the multitude of colors the embroidery has. Also, the shirt is slightly oversized which is a big plus for me since I like to wear this type of shirts. Besides that I find it so joyful, it cheers me up every time I look at it :)

Another item for which I developed quite a "passion" at the moment are the blue jeans and somehow 4 new pieces have made their way into my wardrobe, hehe. You already saw one of them in my previous post and you can see the second pair today. I found these ones HERE and I liked them even more after receiving them. The color is gorgeous, they are high waisted and I love that they are the "MOM style" of jeans, a style I didn't own so far. In fact, I was looking for such a pair for a long time but none of the ones I tried looked good, but these ones..oh they are so perfect. The fabric is thick, it has no stretch and they are also ripped. I think these ones will be great for spring and summer and they will look amazing with everything (sneakers, flats, sandals, etc., biker jackets, bombers and so on). I know I can't wait to wear them with my white converse :)

Last Sunday however, when we took the photos, it had to be pretty cold and definitely windy of course (hence my crazy hair haha), so I added a camel coat, a pair of nude heels and a red bag, for that extra pop of color. :)

What do you think? Do you like embroidered pieces?

Have a lovely weekend!
Hugs,
A.

One faux-fur to rule them all

It is pretty obvious by now that I cannot keep my initial posting schedule (Monday and Thursday) as I used to do, but no worries I am still preparing new OOTDs for you every week ;) Somehow the days are passing very fast around here and I usually find myself during evenings thinking that I also have to prepare some blogging material but I am just too tired to go beyond this thought and actually do it :)) Well, the day has finally come and I decided to use this Tuesday and show you a new look, which is definitely one of my favourites lately and the photos, ahh I just love them.

Last Saturday we started discovering this huge city by going to its most famous tourist destinations - The Bund. The Bund is the waterfront area in central Shanghai, an area along the river which faces the modern skyscrapers in the Pudong District. Actually, we firstly went to see the Shanghai Tower in the Pudong District, which is the second tallest building in the world (after Burj Khalifa). The Shanghai Tower has however the highest viewpoint in the world, at the 121 floor and the fastest elevator - 20.5 m/s. Luckily, we got there quite early and so we didn't have to wait in the line :) The view of the city from above is simply breathtaking and if you ever come to Shanghai this is definitely a place you have to go to. In the afternoon we got on the other side of the river and finally got to see the Bund. The Bund houses 52 amazing historical buildings in various architectural styles, among which banks, hotels, designer shops, consulates and it used to house even the Masonic Club. These buildings are facing the modern skyscrapers in the financial centre of the Pudong District and the contrast between the two architectural styles is outstanding. This is, at least now, my favourite part of the city, but you know there is still so much left to discover :D.

To tell you a few words about my outfit now, on Friday evening I received some new bits and pieces among which this adorableeee FAUX-FUR which I totally fell in love with. It is literally the softest faux-fur ever and it kept me warm the whole day, even though the wind was blowing pretty heavily. The black-white-grey combo is super pretty and versatile and the patchwork design makes is so unique. I wore it this time with a white shirt and a pair of ripped jeans, to which I added some black boots and bag and a white hat, keeping everything quite simple and casual but leaving the fur stand out. However, I am sure it will look great also with skirts, dresses, culottes or other types of pants :) You can check it out HERE and I also found a similar one for you which can be seen HERE.

How would you wear this faux-fur?

Have a lovely week,
Andra

Eyes-Printed Waistcoat

Hello hello, I did tell you that this week comes with three outfit posts, so here is the second one of the "Pink Week" series :))

One of my favorite looks, which combines a cool pair of ripped jeans (I told you I'm in love with these ones, didn't I?!), a pinky-nude top with lace detail and a long waistcoat which I totally adore! As you must have already figured it out, this post is about the lovely vest / waistcoat, which has several shades of pink, nude and white but also blue and black, all these colors making it a very versatile piece. Waistcoats were not exactly my cup of tea until recently, but a cool, long one could make your outfit pretty awesome, so when I saw the lovely print this one has I thought it is definitely something else, something that I must try styling. :) Its fabric is thick and of a very good quality, therefore it is a perfect piece for fall as well. You can wear it over a turtleneck sweater or a blouse, with jeans, pants or skirts or even over a dress and the interesting print will make your outfit stand out. :) You can find the vest HERE.
Finally I added a pair of nude heels and a big black bag and I'm very happy with the result. What do you think? :)

Now I have to leave you cause I have sooo much to do today, but I will wait for you on Friday on the blog with the third pinkish look :)

Have a lovely week,
A.

Red Gingham

Well, it looks like I'm very much into red & pink lately, but you will understand about the pink part a bit later. :) Thursdays come with a new post, right? And I was telling you in my previous post that I'm not yet over the off the shoulders trend and that I got two such blouses last week. Yes, you guessed it right, THIS is the second one. :)

Gingham print is back in trend this season and I quite like it, therefore instead of going directly with the regular black&white gingham, I thought of trying something else and so I went for a red one. Actually I really liked THIS BLOUSE when I saw it and if you remember, I even included it in a wishlist (you can see it here), so I ordered it immediately. The fabric is good, similar to cotton. I like the wide sleeves and the fact that you can wear them long as they are or pull them up a little as I did. The blouse itself can be worn in several combinations, but I thought of recreating the wishlist look since it seemed to be such a fun, chic look. So I added my fav blue jeans, a pair of red sandals, a white clutch and a choker. Chokers continue to be a must this season and they definitely replaced the statement necklaces for the moment, so I suggest to invest in one, or seven in my case. :))

You can find the blouse HERE, for only 7$. Fun fact: I think this blouse can be easily incorporated in an Oktoberfest / Wasen outfit. If you are german, you know what I mean ;).

Wish you all a lovely, sunny & warm weekend!
Love, A.
