Twirl, baby, twirl

 Dress / Rochie - H&M || Minaudière / Gentuta - Zara || Sandals / Sandale - Zara

As I was telling you yesterday, summer is not over yet around here and moreover, I shot some cute little outfits during our holiday in Sanya last week. But to tell you first a little something about Sanya, it is the southernmost city in the Hainan Island, China. It is renowned for its tropical climate and it is very often called "China's Florida" or "China's Hawaii". :) We were supposed to spent 7 days there, but we had to leave one day earlier due to a typhoon which was going to hit the island exactly on Friday, when we were supposed to fly back to Shanghai. Reason for which we preferred to leave earlier, even though I would have like to soak up some more sun. You know, it's never enough :)

We stayed at Sanya Marriott Hotel, Dadonghai Bay and since we had such a great time there I decided to mention it on my blog as well. The staff was very friendly and helpful, many of them were able to speak English (yay to that!!), the room was spacious and beautiful, with a balcony and an ocean view, the food was also very good and there are 3 or 4 different restaurants within this resort. There is also a lovely lounge where you can enjoy a breathtaking view and some drinks, but they also have a beautiful garden, which we didn't get the chance to experience anymore.
Another thing which we absolutely loved were the pools (a big and a small one at the higher floor, a big one and one for children, at the lower floor) which have a great view towards the beach. We liked the pools and the pool area so much in fact that we decided to go there everyday and we didn't feel like going to the beach. The beach at the hotel was full of rocks, so I don't know how safe it was for swimming, whereas the public beach with sand was about 10 min (1km) away from us, but as we had such amazing beaches in Okinawa we decided to enjoy the silence at the pool. :) We had there everything we needed so we couldn't be bothered to leave the resort :)).

So anyway, we took these photos one evening when we went to enjoy some cocktails at the Lounge Bar, together with a great sunset and view. I couldn't wait to wear this dress from H&M and I think it fitted the location perfectly, probably even better than I could have ever imagined it. :) I paired this fuchsia dress with my golden sandals, which are in fact the only heeled ones I took on holiday with me, and my colourful minaudière, both from Zara.

What do you think of this look? I still have 2 or 3 summer dresses to show you and after that I hope I'll start shooting some fall looks, so bare with me :))

Hugs,
A.

P.S: I wasn't taking any selfies with the phone in my hand, don't worry, I just discovered the remote control to my camera!  Oh happy day! :D

Yellow flowers 🌻

Blouse / Bluza - Zara || Pants / Pantaloni - Mango || Sandals / Sandale - Zara || Hat / Palarie - H&M || Sunglasses / Ochelari de soare - H&M || Bag / Geanta - Zara

I could easily say that the "less is more rule" applies to me almost every time. I tried to make crazier combinations, to wear two or more different prints in one outfit, to wear several bright colors, but it just doesn't work. I'm that kind of person who would choose to wear one kind of print at a time, that person who likes "normal" looks, who most of the time would choose the classy or minimalistic outfits and the one who chooses to emphasize one thing at the time. On another matter, I also don't like to mix and match my PJs, nor my towels, nor my beddings, they all have to be used together - just like I bought them :))) Why am I telling you this? Because these are my little obsessions and sometimes no matter how hard you try you cannot change them. :))

But anyway, this time I chose yellow, another color which is very popular this summer. Well, actually I began with this super cute blouse with small yellow flowers which I found recently on sale and I decided to wear it with some yellow accessories (bag, sunglasses) to which I also added a pair of palazzo white pants and a pair of golden sandals. As you already know, straw hats are a must for me during summer so I just had to add one to this look as well. The outfit might seem quite simple for you and I can't say it's not, but it totally represents me and I find it perfect for a brunch / lunch date, or when you take a walk in the park or even at the office (if you leave the hat at home :)) ) on a hot summer day.

Which type of outfits do you prefer - the simple or the more rigged out ones? What are your little "obsessions"? :)

Have a lovely weekend!
Hugs, A.

Bubble Gum 🍬

 Well, what can I say?! It's Zara everything! 🙄

Happy Monday everyone!

I was thinking what to write about today and somehow I remembered that when I was in school I used to have a Word file where I was writing all my favourite quotes which I could find online. Yep, I used to keep them all in one place because I was afraid I won't find them ever again. Silly me, haha.

But anyway, since I like mixing things a little bit and making a change from time to time is always a good idea, I was looking on Pinterest today and I found some pretty cool quotes which might be just perfect for an inspirational Monday. Therefore I thought of listing some of them here and of course, I would love to hear your thoughts about them / about this kind of post and maybe you can tell me your favourite quote, if you have one :)

1. "When nothing is sure, everything is possible."
2. "What if I fall? Oh, but my darling what if you fly?"
3. "Take every chance you get in life because some things only happen ONCE."
4. "Travel makes you realize that no matter how much you know, there's always more to learn."
5. "Take time to do what makes your soul happy."
6. "Beauty begins the moment you decide to be yourself."
7. "The distance between your dreams and reality is called action."
8. "Make today so awesome yesterday gets jealous."
9. "Be a voice, not an echo."
10. "No one is you and that is your super power."

So these are the ones I chose for today and I hope they will inspire you :) Speaking of change, you may also notice that I edited my photos a bit different this time and I tried to make them fit my pretty bubble gum pink dress that I chose to wear yesterday. You already know that pink is my happy color and I couldn't be happier that there is such a hype around all shades of pink this season. I can finally wear pink till I drop :)))) This dress is super simple, but the bright colour and the frilled sleeves do all the trick. I chose to wear it with some golden sandals and my colourful new minaudière and I think I got a pretty cheerful, summer appropriate look, right? :) How would you wear this dress?

Have a good, productive week!

Pastels in the wind

Dress / Rochie - HERE / AICI || Bag / Geanta - HERE / AICI ||
Sandals / Sandale - Zara || Earrings / Cercei - Bershka

I don't think the wind was ever more annoying than yesterday when we had to take these pictures. I mean, the wind blows here 90% of the time, but yesterday I just couldn't catch a break. The hair was constantly on my face / in my mouth, the dress was in all the wrong places, etc., long story short, it was really hard to take a few decent photos! You will understand soon what I'm talking about it :)

Anyway, on Saturday afternoon I received a new package with some adorable new items and the first one that caught my attention was the colourful maxi DRESS that I'm wearing today. I honestly didn't expect it to be so beautiful, but it grew on me instantly when I saw it and I immediately imagined myself wearing it on vacation, at the beach (omg, I can't wait!). The fabric is very flowy and light, the pastel colors are gorgeous and it has the perfect length, aka it goes up to the ground (this is very important for me!). I also find the style of this dress to be very unique, feminine and somehow charming and not something you see everyday.
I am usually a European size S-M and I got this one in size M because I was afraid it won't be long enough for me, which is why it is a bit large in the chest area but that is not something that bothers me. Point is, always measure yourself before ordering :) Other than that, because I am not yet on the beach, where I would wear it with some flip flops or flat sandals or even barefoot, I had to wear it in a city-appropriate attire and so I accessorised the DRESS in quite a simple manner with some golden jewellery and sandals and a nude bag. :)

So, my friends, what did we find out from this post?
1. The wind was truly a bitch yesterday and it pissed me off.
2. My obsession for maxi dresses continues. :)
3. I did find this gorgeous colourful dress HERE.
4. You should always check the sizing charts provided on the website and of course compare it with your measurements before ordering.

Having said all this, I wish you all a wonderful new week!
Love, A.
