Burnt Orange in Luzern

Hello October!

I can't believe that September is also over and there are only 3 months left of 2018. Time sure flies very quickly. If I were to make a short retrospective, September was truly beautiful and warm, it was more of a late August and I totally loved it. At the beginning of the month there was Paris, after which some short trips and quite a few outfits followed. :) Sun, beautiful days and warm hues.

But now October is here and the temperatures dropped a bit, it finally feels like real autumn and the first days of the month were quite moody and cold. However, on Tuesday we decided to go on a short trip to Luzern (Lucerne) in Switzerland, city which is about 260 km away from Stuttgart. Truth be told, it is a bit far away for a one-day trip as you spend 3 hours on the way there and 3 hours back (if you are lucky enough not to get caught in traffic jams), but we really wanted to see this city and the weather was on our side. It was not very warm (I would even say it was chilly) but at least it was sunny, so I decided to match the season outside and wore my new coat in a lovely burnt orange colour. This colour is a first in my wardrobe and I find it so interesting and special, not to mention that it screams fall, and so I waited for the perfect moment to wear it. Also, you know how much I love coats in the cold season, so I couldn't wait to be able to wear these outwear pieces again. The rest of the outfit was quite simple: a pair of blue jeans, a white shirt and some black accessories, to which I added a pair of leopard print ankle boots, which are also very autumnal and match the no.1 trend of the season - the leopard / animal print. Moreover, this print will always take your outfit out of the ordinary, but the key is to wear just one piece in this print at a time : e.g. a skirt, a dress, a pair of shoes, a bag, etc. and keep the rest of the outfit very simple.

I selected a few photos of the city as well because it was so beautiful and worth showing, together with my #outfitoftheday. :) What do you think?

Have a lovely end of the week and of course, weekend!
Love, A.

That stylish detail 🍊

 Silk Scarf / Esarfa de matase - HERE / AICI || Top / Top - Mango || Pants / Pantaloni - Zara || Bag / Geanta - Michael Kors || Shoes / Pantofi - Zara

Orange is definitely a color I don't wear much. In fact, this top is probably the only one in this shade of orange that I own and I couldn't tell you why exactly because I do think that this color looks great during summer. However, when I began creating this look I actually started with the lovely MINI SILK SCARF which arrived yesterday and I couldn't wait to wear it.

Silky, colourful headbands and scarves are a must this season and they dress up any simple outfit and they give it a more beautiful final touch. Depending on how you decide to tie such a scarf, it can prevent your hair to be in your face when you're at the beach, they can even protect your head / forehead from the sun and if you go for a MINI SCARF, you can even wear it tied around your neck, around your wrist or even tied on your bag. I love this tiny detail which will make you look so stylish! So I found my mini scarf at LILYSILK WOMEN COLLECTION and I must tell you it is incredibly soft, silky and pretty, therefore if you like silk garments you should definitely check them out because, besides scarves and other accessories, they also have women clothes, pyjamas, bedding sets, etc. all made out of silk.

If you use the coupon code "flashforwards" on your checkout you will get 16% off your purchase, and if you write the same coupon code in the comment box from your cart you will also get a free SILK EYE MASK.

Having said that, let me know what you think about this outfit and whether you like to wear headbands this season :)

Have a lovely new week,
A.

hazy days, don't got away

Hey dear ones,

I start this week with a brand new, yet orange again, post which I hope you will enjoy. Apparently, orange is this month's color in my case, but it is pure coincidence that the two dresses got to be posted during the same month.

I got the first dress about one month ago (see the post HERE), and this one..well, I saw this one a long time ago at H&M but it was out of stock really quickly both in stores and online, until recently when it appeared miraculously on their website in the SALE section. Yuppie yay! Even if they are almost the same shade of orange, I didn't mind posting them so close to each other because they are a totally different style of dresses: the first one is more vintage, in the style of the 50s, and this one is more casual, light, perfect for very hot summers days/nights, or even to be worn at the beach. The accessories make a soft transition from casual to elegant.

Everything starts here to feel more and more like autumn and today I even saw the first yellow leaves on the sidewalk. The temperatures are quite low for mid August and the weather got crazy and very changing, so I don't think I will be able to wear all these summerish clothes for long. But until then, I'm trying to enjoy as much as I can what's left of my favorite season.
