Ultra Violet

Coat / Palton - Zaful || Sweater / Pulover - HERE / AICI || Skirt / Fusta - Zara || Heels / Pantofi - Primark || Bag / Geanta - Guess

As you might already know, the Pantone Color of the year 2018 is ultra violet and that is in fact a dark shade of purple or as they call it, "a dramatically provocative and thoughtful purple shade". This shade of purple symbolises the mysteries of the cosmos, the spiritual reflection, the artistic expression and even the exploration of new technologies and the greater galaxy. Purple is also associated with mediation, experimentation and non-conformity and it energises and inspires people.

Of course, at least one outfit which includes purple had to come on my blog this year and even though today I chose a lighter shade of purple than the ultra violet one, I still think it is beautiful and perfect for spring as it may also be considered a pastel colour. What drew me to this lovely SWEATER was of course the lilac / lavender shade of purple and the flute sleeves, which I consider to be a pretty detail. This sweater is again a cropped one (I told you I have a thing for cropped sweaters now :)) and my first choice was to wear it with some high-waisted jeans, with or without a shirt underneath, but in the end I decided to do something different, something more romantic and so I paired the sweater with a grey tulle skirt, which made its way in my closet last year and I haven't got the chance to wear it until now. Besides the grey oversized coat, I also added my favourite heels for spring / summer and a pink bag, for a more colorful look.

Do you wear purple at lot? What do you think of this look?

Have a lovely new week,
A.

Fuchsia Gingham

 Top / Top - Zara || Skirt / Fusta - Zara || Heels / Pantofi - Primark || Bag / Geanta - Guess

Exactly one week ago I was saying that I don't wear two different prints together in one outfit..and guess what I'm doing today?! That's right, I'm wearing gingham together with floral print. 😂
Well, what can I say? I knew I wanted to wear this particular skirt that day and I remembered I had the floral printed shoes, which have a few shades of fuchsia on them as well, therefore I said I could give them a try. And I liked the combo so much that I didn't even want to see how this skirt would look with something else 😃. It's pretty, it's joyful and summerish, it's everything that I wanted from this look.

On another matter, you see that the gingham madness continues and, as if it wasn't enough that I had this print in red, black and navy blue, I had to have it in pink as well. :)) To be honest, who can resist a cute midi skirt with a big bow in the front? I know I couldn't and I'm actually glad about it because this skirt is also very comfy and the fabric is really soft and light. I paired it with a white crop top (I told you have a thing for crop tops this season) with ruffles and my fuchsia bag and I was ready to go. 😊 Taaa-daa!

How would you wear this skirt? Do you like wearing two different prints together?

Wishing you a lovely weekend!

5 items you shouldn't miss this summer ☀️

Blouse / Bluza - Zara || Trousers / Pantaloni - Zara || Bag / Geanta - Guess || Sandals / Sandale - Bershka || Hat / Palarie - C&A || Sunglasses / Ochelari de soare - Stradivarius

Hey hey, after giving some thought about what could I write today, I realised it's been a while since I told which pieces I find to be essential for a certain season. And since we find ourselves in the middle of summer and there is also the sales season, I thought that this could definitely be a good and helpful idea.
So let's get started:

1. Crop tops. To be fair, I am one of those persons who used to say that they'll never wear crop tops because they are simply not for me, but you know, "never say never". And don't get me wrong, I don't intend wearing them with a pair of leggings :)) God, I had that image on my mind, ew. No no, I love wearing them with high-waisted pants, jeans and skirts and trust me, they can look pretty good when worn right. I also love their 90s vibe and, depending on the situation, they can even look better than a normal length blouse. Therefore, be brave and give them a try.

2. Floral printed items. I don't want to refer here to certain piece, you can choose whatever you like. Whether it is a blouse, a dress, a skirt or a pair of trousers, it doesn't matter, they are all very suitable for this season. In fact, I remember wearing floral prints in summer at least for the past 5 years , therefore investing in such a piece is always a good idea.

3. White trousers. I cannot imagine myself getting through summer without a pair of white pants or jeans. I find them to be super essential, almost a basic piece if you like. I like the fact that I can combine them with almost everything and therefore they are very easy to style and to be dressed up or down. If last year I bought a pair of white skinny jeans and a pair of palazzo trousers, this year I bought a pair of cropped jeans with frills (see HERE) and the pair I am wearing in today's photos. I found the last ones on SALE and I was super happy about it because they are just the perfect pair for me. I can't even tell you in how many ways I imagine myself wearing them.

4. Shoes with jute soles. These are definitely this season's shoes and there is wide variety to choose from: espadrilles, sandals, slides, bluchers. As I told you before, they didn't convince me right from the beginning, but now I totally adore them. They are so comfy, they look great and they definitely overcame the high heels for the moment. The only inconvenient is that you cannot wear them when it rains because the soles will swell, trust me I tried. :))

5. Straw hats. Does this really need a description? I love wearing hats all year round but I could never wear a hat made out of wool during summer, no matter how cool it looks. Therefore, straw hats are a must for me and I even associate them with this season. They would never look better than with a summerish, colorful outfit and as a bonus, they also protect you from the sun. :)

So which are your 5 essentials for summer? Looking forward to hear your opinion!

Have a lovely weekend,
A.
