Wasen

I'm sure everybody heard about Oktoberfest, but I'm not so sure how many of you know about Wasen or Volksfest which takes place in Stuttgart. It starts one week later than the Oktoberfest and it is a bit smaller, but I would say just as nice and as much fun!

What can you do there? You can ride all kinds of rollercoasters, merry-go-rounds, the big wheel, etc., you have a wide choice of all kinds of food - fruits covered in chocolate, chocolate, more chocolate, the classic german heart-shaped biscuits, chips, burgers and so on, and of course you can go in one of the many beer tents, where after one Mass beer (1L beer) you will get to dance on the bench/table on german volk music.
The good part is that Stuttgart has two festivals of such kind - the one in Autumn (Volkfest) and the one in Spring (Frühlingsfest), whereas Oktoberfest ist nur einmal im Jahr (only one time in a year, as a german song says).    

These photos were taken last Sunday when it was the last day of Volkfest. Luckily, there was a perfect timing and the sun came out :). That day I wore this burgundy lace dress which I like so much, this is definitely the color of this autumn, and I paired it with black and gold. The shoes had to be comfy to be able to dance, however that didn't happen this day.

aaand Wasen by night, when I froze my ass bum off and I couldn't feel my hands anymore.
