Black Tulle

Hey loves,

I am finally back with an outfit post and this one has quite a story. To be more precise, we took three sets of photos of this look and only the third time was a charm. I didn't exactly like the first ones, whereas the second ones were taken in the sun and the light was pretty awkward. So luckily my sweet mum had the patience to help me with the third set of photos and I finally liked these ones.

Not to mention that this gorgeous tulle skirt deserved some pretty pictures, so I couldn't just post whatever. :D You already know how much I love tulle skirts and I already own several in different colors and styles, but I thought that a black one would be just perfect for the autumn / winter season. I fell in love with this one the moment I got it. The fabric is really good and the skirt actually has 3 layers of tulle, one of which also has some ruffles to help it keep its shape. The length is also perfect and the elasticated waist makes it suitable for several sizes. It is fluffy and pretty and it makes you feel like a true ballerina :D.

I already wore it a lot, with flats, heels and sneakers (you might have saw some pics on Instagram or Snapchat) and I love each and every combo, so if you like tulle skirts I definitely recommend this one to you. I chose to wear it this time with a grey T-shirt and some red details, but you can also wear it with a shirt, a blouse or a sweater and the black "color" allows you to pair it with all sorts of shades and prints. You can find it HERE at an amazing price and the shipping is FREE worldwide.

On another matter, you should totally follow me on Instagram and Snapchat (andy-andra) to see what I'm up to this weekend. It's gonna be interesting, pinky promise :D

Have a great weekend!
Hugs, A.

Modern Ballerina

Hello hello, a new Monday comes with a new outfit on the blog, yay! The ones who follow me on Instagram (@andyandra) and on Facebook probably saw the preview last week, but I couldn't wait to show you the real deal aka the more professional photos. :)) I usually plan my outfits in advance and sometimes I spend quite some time in front of the closet not knowing what to wear, but I also have those good days when the inspiration is floating in the air and everything goes smoothly. That's exactly what happened with today's look: I just remembered I had this lovely tutu skirt since my birthday and I only wore it that day, well actually during the night so it was about time to find another combination for it.

In case you didn't know, tutu skirts are this autumn's must have pieces and you can already find them in several colors and styles. For example, Zara has many beautiful tulle skirts in different colors (pink, grey, khaki, black, etc) in case you want to take a look. Anyway, I couldn't be happier that they are back in trend because they are so cute and girly, I totally love them! The best part is that they look incredible with heels, but also with sneakers, ballerinas or flat sandals. As you can see, I added an off-shoulder striped blouse and my white converse and I was ready to go out the door. The studded bag gives the look a slight rock-chic vibe.

Super easy, comfy and girly, right?? Just perfect for a walk in the city, a coffee or brunch with friends or a shopping session. I totally recommend you to invest in such a skirt because it's very easy to style and it will always give your look that special something.
Do you have tutu skirts? If yes, in which colors?

Have a great week darlings,
Andra

one skirt, two looks (2)

Hello lovelies,

As promised, I want to show you today the second outfit with this grey tulle skirt. I told you here that I chose two different looks and I wanted to create a great contrast between them, which I think I managed to do. :) If I chose a first soft & feminine look, for this one I wanted something more dramatic, something that would pop out a bit more, which is why I chose to combine the skirt with these shades of purple/burgundy. I kept the accessories black, but I crossed my borderline with this look again and that is for two reasons:
1. I put my hair up in a messy bun (which I rarelyyyyyy do) and
2. it is the first time when I wear a skirt with socks, but I liked their color too much and how they fit the sweater that I said I should give it a try.
Another difference between the two outfits would be the fact that the first look is more appropriate to wear it during the day, while this one is more night-appropriate.

Unfortunately, I saw that this skirt is sold out at the moment, but I found a similar one for you HERE. It comes in several colors (I have the mint one) and it has more tulle layers than the grey one and it's just as wonderful, so you check it out.

Which look is your favorite?

Have a lovely week,
Andra

one skirt, two looks (1)

December is the perfect winter month for dressing up. With all the holidays coming up, I already started thinking what will I wear and the answer is something elegant most of the times. Unlike my everyday looks, when I like embrace the chunkiest sweaters and feel very comfy, during holidays I like to dress up, to be elegant and feminine and I generally go for skirts or dresses.
Among these, you already know how much I love tulle skirts (you can see other posts here and here) so I chose a grey one this time. But this is not all. I thought of showing you two outfits with the same skirt and maybe to inspire you for the upcoming holiday season.

I contrasted quite good the two outfits and the first one which I want to show you today is the soft, feminine, sweet, princessy (if you want) one. I chose mint & white together with the grey tulle skirt for a light colored look, a look which would have matched a white, snowy background even better. Anyway, the only pop of color I added to my outfit are the shoes, which you might think are a bit springish and I agree but I wanted to cheer up the outfit. You can very well add some silver shoes instead.

Did I mention how much I love this skirt? It has such a beautiful color and it can be worn in so many ways that it was actually hard to decide upon just two outfits to show you. You can find it HERE for only 5$ and you can wear a grey tutu both in elegant, feminine outfits but also in rock chic ones.

So this is the first, fairytale inspired look, because December is also the month of fairytales and magic. Stay tuned cause next week the second look will be up. Hope you like it!

Have a great weekend, with lots of presents from St. Nicholas!
Love, A.
