Spring Florals

Hey loves, spring is finally here to stay and therefore I prepared for you a new wishlist with some of my favourites elements for this season: florals, pastels, pretty dresses / jumpsuits and accessories. They are 100% my style and I would wear them all without having any second thoughts. They even make me dream about summer already! :) As you should know by now, the direct links to each product are under the photo.

To my fellow bloggers and not only I must tell you that creating this collage gave me some headaches. Why? Well, I used to make all my collages with Polyvore, but surprise surprise, that website doesn't exist anymore so I had to find another one, which was not an easy task. I just thought you might want to know that, sadly, Polyvore doesn't exist anymore.

On another matter, I wish you all a wonderful day and stay tuned, I still have some outfits prepared for you!

Which is your favourite item from this collage?

Love, A.

What will I miss?

 Coat / Palton - H&M || Dress / Rochie - H&M || Jeans / Blugi - Zara || Boots / Botine - Primark || Belt / Curea - H&M || Bag / Geanta - Mango

My dear darlings, this will go into history as my last post from Shanghai, because yes..the time has passed and on Saturday we will be going back to Europe, back home. :) And even though these photos were taken at the beginning of December, I thought they are still worth posting because of the lovely and unique location which stands in my background. And between us, I also like this outfit, shhhhh...

But as the outfit is pretty much self explanatory, I thought I'd rather share with you some of my impressions of this city and of living in China for a while now. More exactly I would like to tell you what I believe I will miss from here and what not. :)

So, what will I miss?

- First and foremost, the city itself. It is truly a lovely city to live in, it has a lot to offer, there are many places to be seen and things to do, it has tons of restaurants, bars, lounges, clubs, but it also has museums, art galleries, malls, markets, not to mention all the touristic objectives. Ok, that was a random listing, but my point is that you can't really get bored here, there is always something to do, something to see, day or night. I will definitely miss its complexity and I think I will even miss its contrasts. :)

- The skyscrapers from the Financial District and my favourite area, the Bund, which is truly breathtaking. I can't even explain to you the feeling it gave me when I first saw it and I loved it ever since. I find tall buildings quite fascinating and I think I will even miss our cozy apartment from the 22nd floor and the pretty view we had from the balcony. :)

- I will probably even miss the subway because it's very clean, fast, reliable, there are trains coming every 2-3 minutes and the whole network is very well organised. If you can avoid using it during the peak hours (when it is absolutely packed with people), it's perfect.

- I will definitely miss all the trips we took this past year, all the beautiful places we've seen and the discovery of this new world and culture. Moreover, due to a favourable location, this city also enabled us to visit other countries here in Asia, countries which from Europe are more complicated and expensive to be reached. If we had more time around here, I would have also liked to see Cambodia, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia. But they will still remain on my list :)

- Finally, on a more general matter, I will miss how easy it is to make payments here and how fast everything works. You can pay everything with your phone and as long as you have a long-lasting battery you don't need to carry any cash or cards with you. When you order things online the shipping is unbelievably fast (you may even get your package the same day if you order it before noon) and generally, I think that everything is quite well organised.

Having said that, I have to be completely honest with you and tell you also what I won't miss, right?

- Firstly, the air pollution. Especially during the winter time the air quality is pretty bad and wearing masks every time when you go out is pretty uncomfortable, in my opinion. On two occasions during this year we had "the pleasure" to even experience hazardous air quality (with an aqi over 300) and that was in May, when we were in Nanjing and on New Year's Eve. Everything was white and foggy and the air barely breathable.

- Then, the crowds. The multitude of people which are everywhere you go, anytime you go and especially at the tourist attractions and during the weekends. We planned the whole year in such a manner to avoid visiting places when there were public holidays and sometimes (for e.g. Beijing) we even tried to avoid the weekends because it's truly impossible.

- Last but not least, I won't miss the food. I had a completely different idea of what Chinese food meant before coming here and I'd rather return to the European-Chinese food :)) Don't get me wrong, I did eat Chinese food here and there are things that I like but there are also things which I couldn't even imagine trying, like frogs, scorpions, bugs and other weird stuff. I liked the dumplings, the vegetables, the lotus root, the Sichuan food, etc but it is not something I could eat every day. And I also didn't like the typical Shanghaise food because they put sugar in everything and it is all so very sweet. Ahh, I can't wait to have some eggplant salad, the good old sarmale and other goodies.. :))

I don't even know if you will read all this, but I really felt like writing and point out some things at the end of this maybe life-changing journey, and if you do read it I would love to hear your opinion and thoughts on it. :) Have you been here? What did you like and what not? Or are you planning to visit China?

Have a lovely weekend,
A.

Faux Fur & Green

Faux Fur / Blanita - HERE / AICI || Pants / Pantaloni - H&M || Turtleneck / Maleta - Pimkie ||
Boots / Bocanci - Zara || Bag / Geanta - Zara

Long time, no see..I hope you all had some wonderful holidays and you got your batteries recharged just in time to welcome 2018! :) My holidays were different and, to be honest, I didn't feel much the Christmas spirit, but we had some pretty days, we watched many Christmas movies, had a lovely dinner on Xmas Eve and visited some new places in this city. :)

On the other hand, I also prepared some new looks for and this is actually the most "fresh" one cause it was shot today. It was raining cats & dogs, but we found a little spot which was covered and oh those floors were matching my outfit perfectly so I couldn't miss the chance. :) As you might know, I am a big fan of faux furs and I already have them in several colors, but you know you can never go wrong with a faux fur so why not have some more :)) The one I am wearing today is quite similar to a faux fur I got last winter from the same website, but this one is shorter and a bit thicker :) I loooove how fluffy and soft it is and it looks good with high waisted pants, skirts and even dresses, not to mention that the combination of "colors" makes it very easy to style.

Annddd, ladies and gents, I decided to try something new and I gave up (for a little while) the jeans and / or black trousers and went for a pair of green trousers with a very high waist. Well it was quite a challenge, but now I like them a lot because they are different and can be dressed up or down and they also look great with this faux fur. As they are quite a pop of color, I only added my basic black turtleneck (which you should definitely have in your wardrobe), my biker boots and gloves with pearly details and a b&w bag. :)

What do you think of this look? Do you like faux fur jackets?
Love, A.

Coats

My dear ones, we already find ourselves in November so the winter is approaching and I love wearing coats and interesting, unique sweaters during the cold time, therefore I decided to make a selection of these two essential clothing pieces of the season. Checked coats are very on trend at the moment and it was difficult to choose only one to include in this post as they have so many different ones, but this one caught my attention due to its red details. Faux furs are still trendy this season and I particularly loved these colourful ones which would brighten up any cloudy grey day of winter and , of course, the pink coat is my absolute favourite and I would love love love to add it to my wardrobe.

On another matter, when I was younger I used to hate wearing sweaters because I thought they were making me look massive, but now I adore them and besides the coats and over the knee boots, they are the 3rd reason why I like the cold season. Not in that particular order :)). As I said before, this year I very much love the ones with a little extra something, like pearls, tassels, sequins, etc which make them more special, but they are not the only ones that I'm wearing. I also like the oversized, comfy and warm sweaters which can make an outfit look effortlessly chic.

The direct links to each of these items are under the images as usual. Which are your favourite winter pieces? Which is your favourite item from these two collages?

Have a lovely new week,
A.

Sundays are for relaxation and online shopping! 😀 I found some gorgeous new pieces which I wanted to share with you and this time I divided them in black & white and red. Why? I'm not quite sure, probably because I really like red (or red & white) pieces at the moment, whereas the black & white garments are such a classic. And to be completely honest, I began with the lovely black swimsuit when I made the first collage because I am completely obsessed with it. Have you seen how gorgeous it is?! And it is only 15$!
As in for the rest, you will have to check them yourselves. I left the direct links to each of the pieces under the collages. Let me know which are your favourite items :)

Have a lovely Sunday!

Valentine's Day Outfit Ideas

Vday 1

Valentine's Day is right around the corner and therefore, before showing you my choice for that day, I decided to put up some looks which may inspire you. As you can see, I went for black, white, red and burgundy when I created these collages, but you can of course choose other colors if none of these suit you. I think these 4 shades are quite basic for Valentine's Day and they fit very well all the hearts, teddy bears, red roses and chocolate boxes haha.

The first two outfits are definitely more elegant and perfect for a fancy party or a dinner at a very elegant restaurant and personally, I would probably go for the black dress with the lace detail because I find it to be extremely beautiful and romantic. However, if you are more daring, you can always choose a red dress with black and gold accessories. On the other hand, if this occasion implies a less fancier event, but you still want to look gorgeous you can always choose a white top / blouse and go for the basic black skirt or a special pleated burgundy skirt. With the right accessories (just take a look at those gorgeous embellished flats!) you can easily transform a simple look in a very chic and glam one.

The direct links to the products are, as usual, under the photos. Let me know which is your favourite look and what would you wear for this years Valentine's Day.

Hugs, A.
