My first choice for summer

Dress / Rochie - H&M (here / aici) || Bag / Geanta - Zara (SS17) || Sandals / Sandale - Zara (SS14)

From what I saw from my previous posts you like dresses and feminine looks as much as I do, fact which cannot make me happier. Even though I think I changed my style quite a lot in the past year(s)(?) and I tend to wear jeans / pants quite a lot, I still have my girly moments when I dearly return to dresses. That happens especially during summer, when the weather is nice and warm and there's nothing more appropriate to wear than a lovely, flowy dress. Since summer came (very) early this year I already got my summer wardrobe out of the darkness and I also started stocking up on some new pieces, one of them being this lovely off the shoulder dress.

Midi length, polka dots, ruffles and off the shoulder detail - all these are my weaknesses (yes, apparently I have many when it comes to clothes haha) and they pretty much explain my choice for adding it to my closet. I cannot tell you exactly what fabric it is made of, but I can tell you that it's super soft, a little heavy and not very thin, but I took it out for "a ride" at 33 degrees Celsius and it was perfect. Also, during just one day I wore it with white sneakers, red sandals (which are in the photos) and even fuchsia ballerinas and the dress looked great with all of them, therefore it is definitely versatile and I shall wear it a lot this summer.

However, since I carried my heels in a bag for half a day just to get some decent photos wearing something else rather than sneakers (#Bloggerproblems), I had to show these to you and as a matter of fact, navy blue and red is such a classic combo, right? :) Let me know what you think!

Hugs, A.

The cherry on top 🍒

Hello dears,

How was your weekend? Mine was pretty full and it ended with some serious muscle soreness after we went trekking yesterday. It was the first time, so 6,5km through the woods, going up and down resulted in me moving like Robokop today :)). However it was pretty amazing so I'm sure it won't be the last time. Too bad we started doing this at the end of summer.

But talking about today's outfit, you saw that last week I had some lemons on my dress (see the post HERE), therefore today I have some cherries for you. :D You know how much I love prints and patterns and I like having fun with them, especially since it's still summer and this season allows me to step out of my comfort zone and try new things. Btw, this week looks like it's still gonna be an amazing one. Anyway, when I saw this DRESS I liked it instantly. I ordered it together with the lemon printed one (HERE) and I thought they might be quite similar, but I still found them to be very cute  and definitely something else. The fabric is similar for both of them and they are both in a vintage style, but the CHERRY PRINTED ONE has ruffle sleeves which I actually chose to wear off the shoulder, and an A-line form with a wider lower part. I think it is perfect to be worn at a summer special event or even at a festival, and now I refer to the german kind of festivals (Oktoberfest and such). It reminds me of the german Dirndls. :)

This time I chose to add a pair of red sandals together with a white bag with black details and a scarf like choker. However, I think you can easily pair this dress with black or white sandals, high heeled or flat ones and if you want to make it look more casual you can wear it with flats or white converse and a denim jacket. The options are quite varied, right?

Remember, you can find the dress HERE, on SALE. So let me know how and where would you wear it. :)

Have a great week,
Andra

so much blue

Hey loves,

Here we are, more than one week later, and I am finally back with a new post. On Friday it was my birthday and on Saturday was my husband's, so we thought of spending it in a more interesting way and by doing what we love most - traveling. So this time we chose together with our dear friends a destination that was closer to Germany and that would enable us to visit it during the weekend.

After making some research, we finally decided to go to Genoa (Genua, Genova), Italy. I fell in love with Italy last year, when we visited five of its biggest cities and I liked all of them so much! Each city impressed me by its own, particular way (you can read the posts HERE and HERE), so I am very happy for choosing this destination because Genoa is Italy's sixth city which we visited and didn't let me down. On the contrary, it is an amazing city situated at the Ligurian Sea, which offers you so much history, beautiful monuments, churches and buildings, narrow streets and colorful buildings, extraordinary food and so much fun.

Thank you all for the beautiful, special and memorable birthday that I had and thank you Ale for the pics. :-)

vintage orange

New month, new week and a new post, just for you darlings. We took these photos about two weeks ago and I kept postponing the moment of sharing them with you, but I'm actually glad I did that because now I have something more special to show you at the beginning of this beautiful, new month.
August is my favorite month of this season and that is because of our birthdays (mine & my husband's, only one day difference - how cool is that?!-). It is usually the month when we go on vacation (not this year though), the month when the light turns warmer, the month of peaches, watermelon and raspberries, the month of sunflowers and lavender. Plenty of reasons to love it. :-)

Regarding the outfit, this time I want to show you an orange midi dress, which is so 1950s and which I paired with some nude heels and a snakes print purse, together with some golden accessories. Midi dresses and skirts are definitely my favorite items this season. They are so comfortable, so easy to style, so vintage and feminine and as far as I saw they are still in the next season, so thumbs up for that!

Wishing you a great new month and week! Kisses, A.
