The embroidered sweater

 Sweater / Pulover  - HERE / AICI || Shirt / Camasa - H&M || Jeans / Blugi - Zara ||
Boots / Bocanci - Zara || Bag / Geanta - Mango || Hat / Palarie - H&M

Hey loves, so this past weekend we were away again, this time in Guilin, China. This area is famous for its amazing nature and landscapes and we had a great time. The weather was also on our side, meaning it didn't rain at all even if the weather forecast told us something else in advance. We visited the city, we took a cruise and admired the amazing scenery on the Li River up to another city (Yangshuo), where we spent two days. In Yangshuo we rented two bikes and we explored the surroundings with their help after which we also did some bamboo rafting and that was super fun! As you can see, it was more of a trip full of sporty activities, but we enjoyed it to the fullest.
There were also 2 more things which I wanted to see really badly but unfortunately we didn't manage to cross them off the list too: 1. the rice terraces (which were quite far away and we would have needed a day only for this) and 2. the famous fishermen with cormorants (we saw some guys with the birds, but not the real deal). Oh well, maybe next time. :)

On another matter, right before we left I got another package with two amazing items and I could not have been happier as I was able to take them with me, hehe. The first one is this very beautiful embroidered SWEATER which was perfect for our walk in the city on our last day there. Besides its lovely print, the quality of this sweater is very good and I must tell you that it turned many heads around. :) The sleeves are wide but I tied them with the drawstring and made them a bit shorter, it has a high neck and the fabric is perfect for this time of the year. I choose to wear it with a shirt underneath because that's what I do if the sweaters are a bit shorter and I think this little trick emphasized the sweater even better. :) I added a pair of skinny black jeans and my biker boots with pearls but I needed some color too for my accessories and red was the best choice :)

What do you think of this look? How would you wear this sweater?

Love, A.

P.S: If you're wondering why is my bag so swollen,well it's because I was carrying my second lens in it :))

Polkadots & turquoise water

Dress / Rochie - HERE / AICI || Hat / Palarie - H&M || Sungasses / Ochelari de soare - Stradivarius

Hey hey, we just got back from Okinawa, where we spent a short four-day vacation, but which was totally amazing. I fell in love with Japan ever since we saw Tokyo, but this place made me love this country even more. Not to mention that the two islands we saw during our time there, Zamami and Aka, were pure paradise! Turquoise water, corals which enabled us to snorkel the whole day (hence the sunburns :)) ),  empty beaches, lush vegetation, very few tourists, peace and quiet, just the way we like it :)

And since on Friday we go somewhere else, I already "took care" of some of the photos and here I am showing you this gorgeous DRESS I wore on our second day there. As I already got some pretty bad sunburns during the first day, this dress was the perfect choice to cover me from (almost) head to toe. :) Also, it is made of a light, flowy fabric, so it didn't keep me hot at all. Besides this, I am a big sucker for maxi dresses and this one caught my attention because I knew it would be perfect for the holiday and it look great on the beach.
You can find it HERE in green as well, and even if this year's beach days are over for some of you, this dress is very versatile and it can be worn also on other occasions and in different styles, and I am sure that this print will not go out of style too soon. In fact, one of this autumn's trends are the polkadots. :)

How would you wear this DRESS?

Have a lovely week,
A.

Red Stripes & Sunflowers 🌻

Two-Piece / Compleu - HERE / AICI (Blue / Albastru) || Bag / Geanta - Zara || Hat / Palarie - H&M || Sandals / Sandale - Zara

It's Monday again and tomorrow will be the 1st of August already. I can't believe how fast this year passes by..or at least that's how I feel taking into consideration that there are almost 7 months since we moved to Shanghai and it feels like yesterday. I can't complain, we also had a busy year in which we traveled a lot and saw so many new places, so probably this part helped as well in order for this year to pass by so quickly. Do you also feel the same? 😊

Obviously this year is not over yet and we still have some holidays planed, among which three of them will be at the seaside, of course in three different places, and the first one will begin in exactly one month from today. I'm not telling you the destinations yet as I like to keep it all a little more mysterious 😀 but I think the whole waiting will be worth it.

And who doesn't like to have some new clothes when they go on vacation?! I know I do, reason for which I began stocking up on some new pieces for a while now and I am struggling not to wear them until then :)). Well, some of them are not so easy to resist, like this adorable TWO-PIECE SET that I got last week and I already had to wear it this past weekend. I told you I like red items this summer, but if they involves some stripes it's even better! From the moment I saw this one I immediately felt like it would be the perfect choice for a walk on the beach or for discovering a new city, for a lunch date or even to throw on over a bikini, all these with a pair of flat sandals, slides or flip-flops. :)
Wearing a gorgeous TWO-PIECE SET like this one can have many advantages: it is very easy to throw on as you don't have to think too much what to pair it with, it can be dressed up or down, it is very chic and perfect for summer and if you feel like changing the style for a little bit, you can wear the pieces separately as well. Moreover, this particular one is made 100% out of cotton, which means it won't keep you too warm and I also love the little "twist" it has: a pair of shorts underneath the ruffled skirt. :) Cute, right?

As I am still in the city, I adopted a more city-appropriate look by adding a pair of red heeled sandals, but you can pretty much wear whatever you like with it, this two-piece is pretty versatile. :) And they have it in blue as well, just check it out HERE.

Which do you like more - blue or red? How would you wear it?

Happy new week everyone!
Hugs, A.
