the back detail

Helloo, helloo I hope you are having a lovely day so far, even if it's Monday. :) Mine is sunny, yet very cold and I'm pretty sure that the true winter just started.Brrr..
Anyway, I would like to tell you a few words today about how to style a white shirt dress, especially during this season when it can be a bit problematic because of the low temperatures. First of all, I find a white shirt dress to be very classy and chic, a piece which can be worn in several ways and for several occasions. During summer is of course easier to wear, but in winter is also possible. I got mine HERE and it is just so beautiful: the fabric is very good (I think it is cotton), it has long sleeves but you can also make them 3/4 or even shorter and I love the fact that it comes with a fabric belt which you can tie around the waist and get that pretty bow detail.

Therefore, a first choice of wearing it is of course layering. You can always add several layers of clothing to keep you warm, some skinny jeans, a pair of boots and you're good to go. Sure, you can choose this when you want to go for a casual look. On the other hand, if you want to go for an office/elegant/even night out look, you can get inspired by my choices. I went for a black and white look, because...well, we all know why. I simply love these combos. I chose a pair of black coated skinny jeans, which I've been wearing constantly since I got them, and I went for a houndstooth printed coat, which has that certain something. The boots have a golden detail just like the bag and they both match perfectly my new statement necklace, which is all about the amazing back detail. We usually care more about the front perspective, but look how those asymmetric fringes fall on the white shirt and how cute, but also interesting it is. :) I would love to hear your opinion about it and how would you wear a shirt dress :)

Don't forget, you can find this white shirt dress HERE, on SALE - for only 14,99$.

Happy Monday everyone!
Love, A.

one skirt, two looks (2)

Hello lovelies,

As promised, I want to show you today the second outfit with this grey tulle skirt. I told you here that I chose two different looks and I wanted to create a great contrast between them, which I think I managed to do. :) If I chose a first soft & feminine look, for this one I wanted something more dramatic, something that would pop out a bit more, which is why I chose to combine the skirt with these shades of purple/burgundy. I kept the accessories black, but I crossed my borderline with this look again and that is for two reasons:
1. I put my hair up in a messy bun (which I rarelyyyyyy do) and
2. it is the first time when I wear a skirt with socks, but I liked their color too much and how they fit the sweater that I said I should give it a try.
Another difference between the two outfits would be the fact that the first look is more appropriate to wear it during the day, while this one is more night-appropriate.

Unfortunately, I saw that this skirt is sold out at the moment, but I found a similar one for you HERE. It comes in several colors (I have the mint one) and it has more tulle layers than the grey one and it's just as wonderful, so you check it out.

Which look is your favorite?

Have a lovely week,
Andra

one skirt, two looks (1)

December is the perfect winter month for dressing up. With all the holidays coming up, I already started thinking what will I wear and the answer is something elegant most of the times. Unlike my everyday looks, when I like embrace the chunkiest sweaters and feel very comfy, during holidays I like to dress up, to be elegant and feminine and I generally go for skirts or dresses.
Among these, you already know how much I love tulle skirts (you can see other posts here and here) so I chose a grey one this time. But this is not all. I thought of showing you two outfits with the same skirt and maybe to inspire you for the upcoming holiday season.

I contrasted quite good the two outfits and the first one which I want to show you today is the soft, feminine, sweet, princessy (if you want) one. I chose mint & white together with the grey tulle skirt for a light colored look, a look which would have matched a white, snowy background even better. Anyway, the only pop of color I added to my outfit are the shoes, which you might think are a bit springish and I agree but I wanted to cheer up the outfit. You can very well add some silver shoes instead.

Did I mention how much I love this skirt? It has such a beautiful color and it can be worn in so many ways that it was actually hard to decide upon just two outfits to show you. You can find it HERE for only 5$ and you can wear a grey tutu both in elegant, feminine outfits but also in rock chic ones.

So this is the first, fairytale inspired look, because December is also the month of fairytales and magic. Stay tuned cause next week the second look will be up. Hope you like it!

Have a great weekend, with lots of presents from St. Nicholas!
Love, A.

fall essentials

Hello my beauties,

The fall season is here exactly from the 1st of September, but only on Saturday got quite cold so I was able to put up a proper fall outfit. This could only make me happy since it enabled me to wear some of my latest purchases, fact which immediately lead to giving you some ideas of what you should invest in this season. I will reduce it to five essential items, but I might give you some more ideas in my future posts.

1. Ponchos - definitely the most popular item this season. They can be found now in almost every store, in different colors, but the most appropriate for this season would be the ones in earthy colors. I find them to be a very good investment since they keep you very warm and they can easily be combined with jeans, pants, skirts or dresses. And let's be honest, they look very chic. :) Plaid is another must have for this fall so if you find the two combined into one piece, even better. Also, the colors my poncho has allow me to style it with many pieces, so all these reasons made me love it the moment I saw it.

2. Flared Jeans. Yes, please. Flared Jeans came back in trend last season and they continue to be very in this season as well. So, if you don't already own a pair since the past years, you should definitely get one now. I find them to be a like a breath of fresh air among all the skinnies and they have several advantages: they lengthen and slim your silhouette.

3. The white shirt is an item we should all have in our wardrobes, regardless the season. They are very easy to style in all kinds of outfits and in many situations they are a life saver. :) However, if you want to invest in one this season, I think you should go for the ones with a black or white neck bow tie or for the Victorian Nouveau ones, meaning for the ones with high collars, ruffles or lace.

4. The statement necklace. For me, this accessory is a timeless must-have, so if you don't have one already you should definitely buy one. You already know how many I have and that is because they make any kind of outfit look so much better and special and they give it the sparkle and glam it needs.
The necklace I'm wearing today is from Happiness Boutique and you can find it HERE at a very good price. You should definitely take a look at the great products they have: necklaces, earrings, rings and even clothes and I'm sure you'll find something to love. The customer service is great and they offer free shipping worldwide. They also offer rewards to their clients through their customer reward program and each of you can join their bi-monthly giveaway HERE , only by registering with your email. You should definitely give it a try! :)

 5. Hats. Last but not least, they continue to be a very trendy accessory this season as well. You can find them in all shapes and colors, they keep you warm and they look so good. Plenty of reasons to invest in at least one hat, right? :)

Which other items do you find to be essential this season?

Have a great week,
Andra

lime & stripes

Hello dears,

Today I want to try something else, something new. This means that I won't write what crosses my mind this very instant, but I would like you to write to me in the comments box below: a question, a suggestion, something you would like to see on this blog, a subject you're interested in, an outfit/style you would like to see, etc. Of course, it would be nice to be something realistic and doable when it comes to outfits. :D I'm looking forward to read your comments.

Now, regarding the outfit, you probably know most of the items from my previous posts except for the golden handcuff which I love and I find it a totally chic accessory. However, you haven't seen this combination so far and I like to reinvent my clothes all most of the time, so I felt like wearing the striped pants once again, but this time combined with a lime blouse and golden accents. And if I let myself carried away by my imagination, this is definitely something I would wear for a rooftop birthday party. What do you think?

Have a great week,
Andy
