The 50s inspired dress

I like table cloths and I cannot lie :)) Just kidding of course, I don't really have anything to do with them but this gingham / plaid print reminds me of the vintage table cloths. And since it's Monday, we can start the day with a tiny joke, right? :D

Anyway, you probably know by now that gingham print is one of this season's hits and we can see it everywhere: for skirts, dresses, blouses, pants, even shoes and accessories, so basically everything. Moreover, this season is not just about the classical black & white gingham but the red, yellow and navy are also very beloved by the high-street fashion. Having said that, I also thought I could try something else, something that my wardrobe was lacking and I chose this super adorable DRESS in a navy gingham print, which is very similar to the style of dresses from the 1950s. I have to admit I was a bit sceptical at the beginning not because of the print or color, but because of the reviews I read which were saying that the fabric is slightly see-through. Well, the first thing I have to tell you about the dress is that the fabric is not transparent at all and I actually love it cause it feels like cotton and it is very comfortable.

I also like the vintage vibe of this DRESS and the super cute details it has: the cold shoulder, the scalloped frill, the adorable little buttons which can be worn in front or in the back (I chose the latter) and the fact that it comes with a waist belt. Moreover, this dress can be worn both during the day and during the night, it all depends on your accessorising. I styled it this time with some fuchsia details (since it is one of this summer's colors :D) and I love the contrast between the dress and the accessories and how well they emphasise each other.

I would always choose such a DRESS over a mini, body-con one simply because I think it is more classy and stylish, and even sexier if you will and it is the type of dress which makes me feel good while wearing it. :) What kind of dresses do you prefer wearing?

What I wore in Prague [first #outfit]

You know what, I changed my mind. I will actually post this outfit this week, even if I meant to post it on Monday. Who cares in fact if it's a Saturday or a Monday or a Tuesday or whatever. Sometimes I think I should stop being so organised, but then 5 minutes later I'm glad that I can keep a schedule regarding my posts. Anyway, since tomorrow I will be on the road (more like on a flight) and then on Monday I will soak all the sun up at once, I thought I should finally show you the first outfit I wore in Prague. And don't worry, I still have two posts prepared for the upcoming week, even if, in between, I will probably spam you with pictures from our holiday ;)).

However, I did want to tell you a few words about what I wore during the first day spent in Prague, even if those days seem long gone. :) I found the perfect black dress not very long ago at H&M and it's the softest and most comfortable one, I'm telling you. I've been looking for such a dress for ages, a dress which I can wear with ankle boots and basically combine with almost every color, a dress which will keep me warm and also be stylish. And I just love this one. In Prague I decided to keep everything black and just bring color to my look by adding a bright red hat and a scarf. The hat was very admired on the streets of Prague and it made me feel confident and good about my choices. :)

Monochrome & Ruffles

[EN] Hey heeey! I think this has been the craziest April I can remember: it snows, it rains, than the sun comes out for a little while, after which the sky gets dark again and we go back to the snowing part. Not to mention that it's so unbelievably cold for almost May. I wonder where is that global warming people always speak about? :P
Luckily, I prepared some outfits last week and we were able to shoot them all, so I am covered for a little while. Today's look is among the ones very dear to me and that is for several reasons:
1. I'm wearing a plaid monochrome off the shoulder dress which combines some of my favorite trends in one: the off the shoulder trend, the plaid which looks so good when contrasted with a brighter color, the midi length and the ruffles. The fabric is very good, it seems to be cotton and it is just perfect for summer. Not to mention that it's very comfortable, but also eye-catching. You can find it HERE on SALE.
2. As you might have noticed by now, I love these yellow details. Yellow is definitely this season's color and, to be honest, I was never actually a very big fan of it, but now I just love it. It is so bold and bright and it looks great next to a B&W combo.
3. This outfit looks vintage, but at the same time modern to me and I love such a mix. I can't wait for summer to be able to wear this dress in many more combos. :)

[RO] Hey heeey! Cred ca aceasta luna Aprilie a fost una dintre cele mai ciudate si nebune luni, din cate imi amintesc eu: ninge, ploua, iese soarele pentru o scurta vreme, dupa care cerul se intuneca din nou si o luam de la inceput cu ninsoarea. Iar de faptul ca e incredibil de frig pentru aproape inceputul lui Mai nici nu mai are rost sa zic. Ma tot intreb unde este incalzirea globala de care vorbeste toata lumea? :P
Din fericire totusi, am reusit saptamana trecuta sa pregatesc mai multe tinute si le-am si fotografiat, asa ca am ce sa va arat o perioada nu foarte indelungata. Tinuta de astazi se afla printre cele dragi mie din mai multe motive:
1. Port o rochie in carouri, monocroma si lasata pe umeri, care combina unele din trendurile mele preferate intr-un singur articol vestimentar: umerii goi, carourile care arata atat de bine in combinatie cu o culoare mai puternica, lungimea midi si volanele. Materialul este foarte bun, pare a fi bumbac si mi se pare perfect pentru vara. Iar pe langa faptul ca este foarte comfortabila, este si frumoasa si atrage cu usurinta atentia asupra ei. 2. Dupa cum probabil ati observat deja, imi plac foarte mult detaliile si accesoriile galbene. Galbenul este cu siguranta culoarea acestui sezon si, ca sa fiu sincera, nu m-am dat niciodata in vant dupa aceasta culoare, insa acum imi place la nebunie. Este frumoasa, vesela, o culoare puternica care arata intotdeauna bine langa o combinatie alb-negru.
3. In viziunea mea acest outfit pare a fi atat unul vintage, cat si unul modern, iar acest mix modern-vintage imi place foarte mult. Ce sa va mai spun, sa vina vara odata!

the studded bucket bag

[EN] Finally a new outfit post, I know. Thing is that I have tons of ideas for spring looks which I can't wear to wear and shoot, but this cold weather just doesn't let me. Therefore, today I have for you a colorful outfit, but the colors are some bold ones. Among my latest obsessions is navy blue and especially its combination with black or red, combinations which I find to be very pretty and chic. Actually, one of the advices the book "How to be Parisian Wherever You Are" gives us is that navy blue should always be combined with black and pink with red, à la Yves Saint Laurent.  
I started creating this outfit from my new lovely hat, which caught my attention almost the moment I saw it (the sales were also responsible for the decision :)) ), and because I wanted to include the red studded bucket bag as well, I came out with a blue-red-black outfit, which I like a lot and which can be worn for a shopping session with friends, for a walk or even at the office.
I also like the layering trend now more than ever so layering a shirt and a sweater was another point on my to-do-list for this outfit. Let me know what you think. Mucho love!

[RO] In sfarsit o noua tinuta pe blog, stiu stiuuu. Problema este ca am o multime de idei de tinute primivaratice pe care abia astept sa le pun in aplicare, dar vremea asta rece nu ma lasa nicicum. Am ales totusi un look colorat pentru astazi, dar in culori mai puternice. Bleumarinul se numara printre obsesiile mele curente, iar in special combinatia sa cu negru sau rosu mi se pare a fi una foarte frumoasa si chic. Unul dintre sfaturile din cartea "Cum sa fii o parizianca oriunde ai fi" este chiar faptul ca bleumarinul trebuie combinat mereu cu negru iar rozul cu rosu, à la Yves Saint Laurent.
Am inceput a crea aceasta tinuta de la noua si draga mea palarie, care mi-a atras atentia aproape din momentul in care am vazut-o (pretul redus a avut si el un cuvant de spus :)) ), iar pentru ca doream sa includ si gentuta rosie cu tinte, a iesit o combinatie de albastru-rosu-negru a tinutei. Mie imi place mult aceasta tinuta, mi se pare a fi una tare vesela, si poate fi purtata la o sesiune de cumparaturi cu prietenele, in timpul unei plimbari sau chiar la birou.  

Un alt aspect care imi place acum mai mult ca niciodata este suprapunerea mai multor haine, asa ca suprapunerea unei camasi si a unui pulover a fost un alt punct pe care am vrut sa-l bifez pentru aceasta tinuta. Astept cu drag parerile voastre. Va pup!
