As you might have noticed, I took a small break from this "blogging" thing and that was for several reasons: 1. my birthday was on the 8th of August, 2. then we had friends who came to visit us and see Shanghai, so we had quite a busy & fun schedule for six days, showing them the city and also discovering new places, and 3. breaks are much needed sometimes.

Anyway, to tell you a little something about today's look: I fell in love with this dress the moment I saw it and after trying it, I knew it would be the perfect choice for my 30th birthday. And if you know me just a little bit by now, you should already know that a midi dress with cute bows and broderie anglaise will always catch my attention. Not to mention that red is the color of fire and blood, so it is associated with energy, strength, power, determination, as well as passion, desire and love, and we need a little bit of these all when starting a new chapter in our lives, right?
So this is exactly what I wore when we celebrated our birthdays (mine & my husbands) and this dress will always be a reminder of the day when we turned thirty. ♥️
I chose to pair it this time with my beloved pair of red sandals, to which I added a black bag and sunglasses, both having some golden details. But what I love about this dress is also the fact that I can wear it in a more casual way, with a pair of flat slides or sandals, a straw hat and bag and I totally plan on doing that at the seaside. :) Also, did I tell you that red is the IT color of the upcoming season? If I haven't, I am telling you now, so feel free to invest in some red pieces and add a pop of colour to your daily looks!
