The striped cardigan

I have to admit that cardigans have never really been my cup of tea and if I am to count them, I probably had around 5, maybe 6 my whole life. And it's not because I don't like them but because I find it way easier to wear a sweater than a cardigan. Especially in winter when you have to wear a coat and what not and the chances are pretty high for the cardigan to be longer than the coat and therefore...big problemo!

However, I do like them during the autumn when they can be worn on their own over a shirt / t-shirt / blouse and they bring that little extra something to the whole look. Truth be told, I was searching for a pretty CARDIGAN for a long time and the striped one that I am wearing in today's photos was exactly what I wanted. I love the color combo and of course the stripes and I find it perfect for autumn. It is not very thick but also not too thin, just perfect to keep you warm during this season. I liked how it looked over a white shirt, but it can be easily combined with other pieces as well, like a black turtleneck, a t-shirt or even a dress, skirts, pants, dressed up or down. I added my washed black mom jeans from Zara and black sock boots which seem to go with everything at the moment :). And let's be honest, the cardigan brought that little extra something I was telling you about to this outfit, otherwise it would have been just a plain b&w look, right?!
