Summer Must-Have: Floral Kimono

Kimono / Kimono - Bershka || T-shirt / Tricou - Primark || Jeans / Blugi - Zara ||
Flats / Balerini - Zara || Bag / Geanta - Guess

Yes, you guessed it right, my newest addiction / obsession / however you want to call it are the floral kimonos. I started liking them ever since I saw THIS ONE at Zara and I was on the point of buying it but then I thought that paying here almost 100 for such a piece it's a bit too much and I'd better wait a little longer for other ones to come in stores. And I'm really glad I did because now the stores are full of such pieces. I found this pinky one at Bershka and the quality is just the same as the one from Zara, but the price is about 4 times less, which is great. I must tell you that I got it last Friday and since then I worn it already 3 times in 3 different combinations: with black jeans and converse, blue jeans and white jeans with flats.

The combination I am showing you today is actually the second one, being what I wore on Sunday in Nanjing and on the way back home. As you can see I paired the floral kimono with a pair of blue, vintage-looking mom jeans, a basic white t-shirt and some fuchsia details and I think this is pretty comfy but also a very chic outfit. However, I also saw floral kimonos paired with dresses and skirts and they can easily change any basic / simple outfit by making it more summer-appropriate and joyful, if you wish.

The story with the mom jeans is another one: I remember when I tried the first pair last year at Zara and I thought they looked so weird that I ended up not buying them. And now..guess what?! Most of the jeans I added to my wardrobe this year and the ones I wear most of the time are mom jeans. I love how comfortable they are and they are truly a breath of fresh air among all the skinny jeans we were seeing the past years. I still like skinny jeans, don't get me wrong, but it's good to make a change once in while, right?!

On another matter, at the end of this post you can also find some photos we took in our hotel room in Nanjing and you probably saw on Instagram the amazing view we had from our room which was located at the 60th floor. Well, I didn't do this to brag about it, but to tell you that this is the tallest hotel in China, having a height of 450 m and 89 floors. So this is another thing crossed off our "Chinese experience" list. :D

Do you like floral kimonos? What about the "Mom Jeans" ?

Wishing you a lovely, sunny & warm weekend!
Hugs, A.
